#WineryWeek is coming October 18th – 22nd

I am happy to announce the next #WineryWeek will be held the week of October 18th through 22nd. #WineryWeek is always a wonderful time to promote and celebrate wineries, the winemakers and their wines. The Twitter wine community participates throughout the week by tweeting about their favorite wines and wineries to their @followers. At the same time, the wineries themselves interact directly with people; answering questions and responding to inquiries. The #WineryWeek tradition continues this month on Twitter. It will be a fun time for all so make your arrangements and plan on participating.

#WineryWeek was started to honor, promote and build awareness for wineries around the world.

Virtual Tweetup and Tasting – #WineWednesday October 20th.

There will be a Virtual Tweetup and Tasting on #WineWednesday October 20th. Participants will tweet together in “real-time” their thoughts, tasting notes, opinions and recommendations of wines from different wineries. People will be able to ask questions directly to the wineries and wine makers. The Virtual Tweetup and Tasting will start at 8:00 pm EST and go through 10:00 pm EST. As always, I would recommend that participating wineries, merchants and wine shops invite people to their location as for the Virtual Tweetup and Tasting. This is creative and great fun for all.

So make your plans, buy some wines for the event, spread the word, get your friends and your favorite wineries to participate in #WineryWeek. I am looking forward to having you actively participate. The Next #WineryWeek on Twitter Starts on May 17th

Spread the Word! #WineryWeek on Twitter starts on May 17th and runs through May 21st. The first ever #WineryWeek was held in April and was a great success. People from around the world tweeted about wines from their favorite wineries. It helped to bring the wineries a lot of new exposure, awareness and Twitter followers. For this event, we will have the traditional Virtual Tweetup and Tasting on #WineWednesday May 19th. This will be a great way for the wine community to celebrate both Twitter wine events together.

#WineryWeek is celebrated on Twitter the third week of every month. So start making your plans and help to spread the word. Tell your friends, tell your Twitter followers and of course tell your favorite wineries. It’s a great opportunity for wineries, wine shops and other wine related establishments to plan local events, have unique offerings and specials during that week.

Thanks

The Next #WineryWeek on Twitter – May 17th – 21st

The first ever #WineryWeek on Twitter concluded last night. It was a great week of fun with many wineries being promoted and showcased by their fans in the Twitter wine community. All in all there were close to 40 wineries mentioned with people tweeting about their wines, the wine makers, the wineries themselves as well as media articles and blog posts about them. It was an amazing showing for the first ever #WineryWeek event. That being said, the goal is to get even and more wineries involved and discussed in each event moving forward. Every winery benefits from the exposure and awareness plus wine lovers and enthusiasts get to learn about them and hopefully get a chance to purchase and try their wines.

Last night we closed #WineryWeek with a Virtual Tweetup and Tasting. We had 10 wineries actively participating in “real-time” as they tweeted about their wines, their newest releases, the history of their wineries and the wines they were tasting for the event. Jordan Winery even had a live video feed and chat going on for part of the event. I want thank them all for taking the time to make the event fun and informative.

The next #WineryWeek will occur in May between May 17th and May 21st.  Please help to spread the word. Tell your friends, tell your Twitter followers and of course tell your favorite wineries. It’s a great opportunity for wineries, wine shops and other wine related establishments to plan local events, offers and specials during that week.

So let’s continue to grow #WineryWeek and make it a fun wine community tradition on Twitter.

Thank you all in advance.
